My weekend went relatively well, all things considered. I spent most of my weekend continuing to plan out my publication schedule and getting some writing done. I surprised myself by actually managing to grind out over five thousand words in Reapers. Usually, I don’t write that much—though it’s something I’ve been actively working on increasing over time, experimenting with a few different techniques to see which one I like best. (I’ll probably, eventually, make a Writer Wednesday post about these different techniques.) I also did a little tinkering with the outline for Bloodlines (if you can call what I do to plan out a story “an outline”), and I think where this story is going to go is really promising—and I think you’re going to love it.
Outside of that, I ended up helping out with some fence repair (long story) and playing a bit of Overwatch because I find that sort of thing relaxing.
I’ve also been keeping an eye on Hurricane Ida; it looks like she’ll be clipping my area with some serious rain and possibly assorted other severe weather throughout Monday. I’m really saddened by the reports I’ve read coming out of southern Louisiana. I’ve read there’s already been one death and there’s over a million people without power. I can’t imagine what they’re going through. 🙁
