A Few Words About My Upcoming Projects

So my last post, which is right here in case you missed it, didn’t really address any of my upcoming projects; it was mostly just me yammering on about why I despise social media and why I’m going to do my best to direct everyone here for updates (more on that at the aforementioned post).

So anyway, I didn’t create this post to go on another tangent about the horribleness of social media. I created this post to talk about what I’ve been working on lately.

I think in a past post, I’d said something about aiming for having Reapers out in September-ish and The Becoming: Bloodlines out around December. Unfortunately, that’s not going to happen…mainly because my cover artist for Bloodlines is unavailable to do the cover until the beginning of 2022. Yes, I know. My heart broke, too. And it’s totally my fault: I didn’t contact him earlier than this month to try to schedule in the cover, and he’s gotten to be very, very popular (and it’s totally well deserved—he’s a fantastic cover artist). So I have to plan my release schedule around his availability, which is fine; I’m just really bad at thinking far enough ahead to do it in a way that makes sense!

As a result, to make a little more room in my schedule for some other things I’ve got going on, I’m going to be releasing Reapers in November. The rough draft for it is almost done, and this will give me time to do revisions. As soon as said revisions are completed or at least close to being completed, I’ll be able to put up a preorder page on all the assorted retailers so that those of you who are interested can go ahead and preorder the book. (Just keep your eyes peeled here for more info on when the preorder will be up and running!)

In the meantime, once I get really good and going on the revisions for Reapers, I’m going to start rough-drafting Bloodlines. I’m really looking forward to this book. (In fact, if all goes according to plan with Bloodlines during the drafting process, I’m really looking forward to the two books I’m thinking about putting after it—I already have potential titles picked out and everything!)

I’m also toying with a few other projects, trying to decide the best way to move forward on them, when to get started/when I can fit them into my schedule, that sort of thing. With as popping as my editing business is here lately, I’m hesitant about making too many promises on projects, because I just know I’m going to miss deadlines, and the last thing I want to do is disappoint you guys. (See: the constantly shifting release plan for Reapers. Sigh.)

So, in summary, we’re looking at:

Reapers (The Unnaturals #4) in November 2021.

Bloodlines (The Becoming #6) in March 2022.

And then more information coming later on what’s releasing when, as soon as I finish firming up my production and release schedule for 2022!

What are your thoughts? Are you looking forward to Reapers? Or are you more of a zombie fan and are gearing up for a brand new, never-before-released book in The Becoming Series? Let me know your thoughts in the comments below!

  1. I am definitely looking forward to The Becoming Bloodlines … I have been waiting a long time to get another dose ! Lol. And I am super excited to hear you are planning two more books to follow it. Great update post thank you. Will Bloodlines be available in both paperback & Kindle upon release?

    1. I’m hoping to have a paperback ready at the same time as the ebook release for Bloodlines, if not shortly afterward. I’ve been working on getting the proofs okayed for the new editions of books 2 and 3 at the moment, then I’ll be doing 4 and 5 after that, and I’m hoping to be caught up on that by the time I’m ready to release book 6. 🙂

      1. Sounds great !! Also, it’s great to hear you are planning more books in The Becoming series after Bloodlines 🙂

      2. Yes, I’m very excited! Bloodlines alone is going to be nuts, and I’m really looking forward to seeing where I take the books after it. (Even *I* don’t know sometimes what’s going to happen for sure!)
