It’s been a very interesting past month here in my world—lots of stuff going on behind the scenes, but all of it good!
I have had some pretty major life changes going on over the past month. Nothing bad! If anything, these changes have freed up a lot of my time, both to run my freelance editing business AND to have more time to write! This, of course, may mean faster releases for you guys. I’m still getting into the swing of things, so hopefully I’ll have more information soon on upcoming plans, but at the very bare minimum, I can tell you that Reapers is coming before the end of the year!
So what books have I been working on over here?
Reapers
The Unnaturals Series #4
I’ve been going full steam ahead on the rewriting process for Reapers. This one is going to be GOOD. It’s inspired partly by trapped-in-the-house-style thrillers that I’ve always enjoyed (even when I spend half my time yelling at the main characters for going up the stairs as they flee the villains). I’m really excited for this one, and several unplanned-for events that have happened in the book’s writing process have inspired a few more books in the series, so it’s looking like I’m moving from an initially planned-for five books in the series to…well, more than that.
The Becoming: Bloodlines
The Becoming Series #7
I know, I know. I’ve been promising this one for a long time. It got set on the back burner for a while there, mainly because I was still trying to figure out what I was going to do with the series in general, but now that the contract terms are rapidly approaching for the other books in the series, I’m already beginning to strategize and plan for re-release of the first books in the series, along with some additional bonus content and other fun stuff, because why not? Otherwise, the general drafting process continues with Bloodlines, and I think it’s going to be a very fun thrill ride and an enjoyable return to the Becoming universe.
The Hollow Men
Not sure if this is going to be a series or not (though, honestly, probably will be, considering my writing habits haha), but this one has been in the planning stages for quite some time, and I’m aiming to begin drafting it later this year. I’ll be returning to my post-apocalyptic/horror roots with this one, so I’m hoping that it will be one you guys will enjoy.
Which of my books are you most excited to read over the next year? Which one are you looking forward to the most?
read your first book and really loved the action parts so I immediately bought the second book because I knew it was worth it… I think I’ve read about 150 to 200 zombie novels and ones that are even decently written always gets me excited a little in doing my Mundane tasks around the house, because I am blessed to be retired at 71. Life is always exciting because things like glass breaking in the living room and the infected have bloomed up in numbers and I are running up the stairs… That’s an exciting life LOL… I’m in the becoming 2 for the second book of the becoming and Cade is just giving out a first kiss and they’re getting psyched up to go into Atlanta… Well written… You have a good way of expressing the angst and the adrenaline that runs when the infected appear… the way you write it…bravo…Keep them coming like pancakes for breakfast when I was a little chow hound as a kid… Enjoying the heck out o’ book 2!……
